Liisa Niinikangas' vision of a new brave school library
4/2005:
Liisa Niinikangas and Eeva Kurttila-Matero were invited to
present a paper in New York, NY in April 2005. The CISSL-IMLS
International Research Symposium presented innovative research
on the Impact of School Libraries on Student Learning was
held in New York City, April 28-29, 2005.
This was a unique
opportunity for school library researchers, library and information
science faculty who specialize in school libraries and doctoral
students interested in this area to come together in an intensive
forum to discuss the latest research initiatives in the field.
This symposium was sponsored by the Center
for International Scholarship in School Libraries (CISSL)
of the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies
at Rutgers University and the IMLS.

in the conference for the librarians of the new EU countries.
